This is the Astronomy Department's special lecture series. We will have Dr. David Charbonneau from Harvard University as the invited speaker. Dr. Charbonneau will discuss Exoplanets and Stellar Physics.
David Charbonneau is the Fred Kavli Professor of Astrophysics and Chair of the Department of Astronomy at Harvard University. His research focuses on the detection and characterization of extrasolar planets, with the goal of studying potentially inhabited worlds. His work also includes developing novel ground- and space-based astronomical instruments and investigating stellar astrophysics.
