DoctoberFest, a new event from The Chambana Film Society, will be featuring over a dozen documentary screenings throughout the month, mostly high profile theatrical releases that did not play in the CU area. Most of them have played at world-class film festivals like Sundance, SXSW, and Tribeca. A routine school commute turns terrifying when a cable car's wire snaps, leaving eight passengers — including six schoolboys — dangling 900 feet above a ravine in the remote Himalayan foothills. With no margin for error and a cable that could fail at any moment, an unlikely alliance of rescuers must improvise under intense public scrutiny, racing against an invisible clock before disaster strikes live on television.
