The Parkland College Orchestra will perform "Orchestral Collaborations" with the Urbana High School Chamber Orchestra on Wednesday, October 7.
Directed by Dr. Rodney Mueller, the Parkland Orchestra will perform "Overture to Norma," by Vencenzo Bellini; "Poet and Peasant Overture," by Franz Von Suppe; and "Band of Brothers: Wednesday, October 7, 7pm Orchestral Collaborations Urbana High School AuditoriumSuite for Orchestra" composed by Michael Kamen and arranged by Roy Phillippe.
The Urbana High School Orchestra will perform "Farewell Symphony" by Franz Joseph Haydn; "Psalm and Fugue" by Alan Hovhannes; and "Cello Trio," by David Popper. This performance will be directed by Tamra Gingold.
Both Orchestras will perform "Overture to Ruslan and Lyudmila" by Michael Glinka and selections from "The Phantom of the Opera" arranged by Calvin Custer.
This performance is scheduled for 7 p.m. at the Urbana High School Auditorium.
