Former Evanston, Illinois alderman N'nanba (formerly Robin Rue Simmons), who spearheaded the passage of reparations legislation in 2019 to transfer $10 million over 10 years to African American residents harmed by Evanston's housing policies, will speak with State Representative Carol Ammons and CU Reparations Coalition President, Dr. Jeff Trask. Shannon McFarland will moderate, Dr. Sundiata Keita Cha-Jua will lead a Q&A with the audience, and entertainment will be provided by musician Noah Brown and the DREAAM Praise Dancers.
